History

JSC " Tashkent Plant for Construction and Repair of Passenger cars "(currently JSC"TVSRZ"), built as part of the implementation of the Loan Agreement signed between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Japan Foundation for International Economic Cooperation, was the first major investment project implemented by the State-Owned Joint-Stock Railway Company "Uzbekistan Temir Yollari" (currently JSC " YTY")and the only company of the Republic of Uzbekistan specializing in the construction, repair, modernization and re-equipment of passenger cars. JSC TVSRZ was put into operation in July 2001 and is a large industrial enterprise with more than 1,200 employees. The total area of the plant is 104,104 square meters, of which 64785 square meters are occupied by production workshops: car building, wheel-cart, bodywork, electrical equipment, heating and water supply, repair of internal equipment, painting, battery, auxiliary procurement, production procurement, experimental, woodworking, manufacturing and obtaining decorative coatings for car parts and others. With the launch of the plant, more than 350 units of new technological equipment were put into operation, including 243 units imported from leading companies in Germany, Holland, South Korea, Canada, Japan, England, etc. The existing production facilities, modern equipment, qualified personnel and well-established contacts with suppliers of materials and components allow the plant to restore more than 450 passenger cars annually. At the end of 2002, the plant organized the production of services for their replacement, as a result, capital repairs were completed with the extension of the service life of passenger cars and capital repairs of the second volume of electric train cars of the ER-2 and ER-9E series. Obtaining such high indicators by the plant was achieved by a huge work of the labor collective, constant improvement and expansion of the production base, introduction of new technologies, search for new resources to increase profitability. In 2003, 4 passenger cars were assembled: one compartment and three open type. In early 2004, the plant assembled the internal equipment of 6 new generation cars for the REGISTON high-speed train connecting Tashkent–Samarkand. In August 2006, the plant converted compartment-type passenger cars into high-comfort inter-regional railway cars for the high-speed train "SHARK" connecting Tashkent-Bukhara. Continuing work on modernization and re-equipment of passenger cars for inter-regional cars by order of JSC Uzzheldorpass (today JSC Uztemiryylylovchi), in 2008 the plant upgraded 7 compartment passenger cars for the high – speed train "NASAF" connecting Tashkent-Karshi according to the design type of the existing train "REGISTON" with standard air conditioning for passenger cars air conditioning, including 1 bar car with a diesel power plant and the headquarters of the train chief. All of the above-mentioned high-speed trains "REGISTON", "SHARK" and "NASAF" meet international standards and serve the population at the highest level. Passenger car building has become a new stage in the development of JSC"TVSRZ". The use of new promising developments and advanced technologies, a clear organization of work allowed the company to master the assembly of new passenger cars with the Tver Carriage Building Plant.

In 2003, 4 passenger cars were assembled: one – compartment SSC and three open-type SSC. Since 2009, the plant has started mass production of compartment-type passenger cars with air conditioning model 61-907 and bogies of its own production model 68-908(909). The development of design documentation for the passenger car and the trolley of the passenger car was carried out by specialists of the plant together with JSC "Scientific and Innovation Center "Wagons" in St. Petersburg. The bogies were tested on the basis of the NVC "Vagony" training ground. Certification tests of the car as a whole were carried out by the Belarusian Certification Body for Railway Products and Services, authorized by the Council for Railway Transport of the CIS countries, after which the plant received a certificate for the right to mass-produce passenger compartment cars with air conditioning model 61-907 until 2014. Taking into account the great attention in the Republic of Uzbekistan to the development of tourism, including in railway transport, the plant has built 5 new high-comfort cars based on the compartment car for the transportation of tourists. These are 8-seat cars with individual control of the microclimatic parameters of the air, using modern materials for finishing the interior equipment, which maximize the level of comfort during the journey of passengers. In 2011, the plant implemented a new project-the construction of the first non-public passenger car model 61-911 in Uzbekistan with a capacity of 54 passengers, which successfully passed all certification tests. On July 26, 2011, the plant received a Certificate of Conformity from the Certification Body for Railway Products and Services at the Belarusian State University of Railway Transport for the serial production of non-standard passenger cars of model 61-911. In 2012, the plant's specialists independently developed the project and built a new passenger compartment car with seating for 48 seats with air conditioning installation with a combined heating system with new bogies of their own production of a new generation of shoulder-less type model 68-921 (922) with disc brakes and technological characteristics that ensure smooth running at a car speed of up to 200 km/hour, which have been successfully tested for strength and speed by the Russian Testing Center.

All the above-mentioned new passenger cars were presented by the plant as part of JSC Yzbekiston Temir Yllari at the 57th meeting of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth member States, held on October 16-17, 2012 in Ashgabat, where they received high praise from the heads of the directorates of the railway administrations of the CIS countries for the design, comfort and technical level of performance of new products. In 2014, the plant's specialists developed and built a restaurant car model 61-924, which successfully passed certification tests . The car has all the elements inherent in an ordinary restaurant car-a kitchen with cutting tables and an electric stove, refrigerators, a dining room, a bar. In 2014, after the Tashkent Metro appealed to the management of our plant with a request to consider the development of design and technological documentation and the subsequent manufacture of a leash trolley for metro cars, a decision was made and the production of the frame and spring bar of trolleys of the leash type for metro cars was mastered on the plant's squares. In addition, the cooperation of JSC "TVSRZ" with the Tashkent Metro continued in terms of carrying out capital repairs to metro cars with an extended service life of up to 15 years. During major repairs – only the body frame remains from the old car, which is being diagnosed, repaired and subsequently filled with new electrical and pneumatic equipment, the frame and overhead bars of trolleys are replaced, the internal design is completely replaced, video surveillance systems, fire extinguishing systems are installed, etc. On the front parts of the head cars, a mask made of polymer filled with glass fiber is "put on", thereby trains after the KVR take on an updated, modern look. Considering that much attention has recently been paid to the development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan, including in railway transport, in 2015 the plant built 5 new high-comfort cars for the transportation of tourists based on a compartment car. These are 8-seater air-conditioned cars with four double compartments. Modern non-combustible materials were used to finish the interior equipment. Each compartment is equipped with an individual bathroom and shower, which maximizes the level of comfort during the journey of passengers. Elements of Uzbek national art were used in the interior design.
