JSC " Tashkent Plant for Construction and Repair of Passenger cars "(currently JSC"TVSRZ"), built as part of the implementation of the Loan Agreement signed between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Japan Foundation for International Economic Cooperation, was the first major investment project implemented by the State-Owned Joint-Stock Railway Company "Uzbekistan Temir Yollari" (currently JSC " YTY")and the only company of the Republic of Uzbekistan specializing in the construction, repair, modernization and re-equipment of passenger cars. JSC TVSRZ was put into operation in July 2001 and is a large industrial enterprise with more than 1,200 employees.
